Get answers to common questions about Waxing Services (lip Wax).

Most clients enjoy hair-free results for about three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles. Regular appointments can extend smooth periods and reduce hair density over time.

Some mild stinging is normal, but the procedure is quick. Reduce discomfort with clean, dry skin, controlled breathing, and by scheduling when you are well-rested. Topical numbing can be discussed if needed.

Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and hair about 1/4 inch long. Avoid exfoliation, retinoids, or strong chemical treatments 48–72 hours before your visit to reduce sensitivity and minimize irritation.

Ingrown hairs can occur but are uncommon with proper technique. Prevent them by gentle exfoliation a few days after waxing, keeping the area clean, and avoiding oil-heavy products that trap hairs.

It’s best to wait 12–24 hours before applying makeup directly to the waxed area to reduce irritation and infection risk. If needed, use clean, non-comedogenic products and apply gently.

Avoid waxing if you have active cold sores, sunburn, open wounds, severe acne, or are using prescription retinoids. Inform your technician of medications or skin treatments before scheduling.
